Kat McCarrey

President

Kat McCarrey is the President of Helios HVACR, where she leads a national team committed to delivering best-in-class commercial HVACR service for multi-site businesses across the United States. Recognized for her operational excellence and people-first leadership, Kat is passionate about building high-performing teams and delivering outstanding client results. 


With more than 30 years of experience in mechanical services, Kat brings deep expertise across field operations, client relationship management, and strategic business leadership. Her hands-on career has spanned every facet of the industry — from turning wrenches and dispatching to project management, sales, and executive leadership. She has successfully led both residential and heavy mechanical service companies, giving her a unique, ground-up perspective on what it takes to run a service organization. 


Kat believes the best results come from investing in people. Whether she’s mentoring the next generation of technicians or partnering with her leadership team at Helios, she fosters a culture of accountability, care, and continuous improvement. 


She is a proud member of Women in HVACR for over a decade, a member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), and has been recognized by both Women in HVACR and the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) for her contributions to the industry. 


Under Kat’s leadership, Helios HVACR is expanding its national footprint, raising the bar for service standards, and redefining what clients can expect from a trusted mechanical partner. 

Tara Kelley

Human Resources Director

Tara is an HR professional with over two decades of progressive leadership in human resources. She is a results-focused leader known for driving strategic workforce initiatives, fostering inclusive workplace cultures, and aligning HR initiatives to support business objectives. Tara’s expertise is spearheading wide-ranging HR strategies for start-ups, restructuring companies, and large-scale operations. Tara has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, leading organizational transformations, and guiding executive leadership as a strategic partner. She is skilled in change management, employee relations, talent management, recruitment strategy, and compliance. Tara combines a deep understanding of people operations with a commitment to ethical leadership and continuous improvement. 


Holding a Bachelor of Science in Organizational & Professional Communication from Kennesaw State University and a PHR certification, Tara is a trusted advisor and dynamic leader dedicated to shaping positive workplace experiences and driving sustainable business growth through people. 

Geanette Rodriguez-Ojeda

VP of Finance

Geanette Ojeda brings over 20 years of leadership experience in accounting, financial strategy, and organizational development. Her career is distinguished by a proven track record of driving business transformation, streamlining teams and processes, and building strong cross-functional partnerships. 


A licensed CPA in Florida, Geanette holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Rutgers University and honed her leadership acumen by completing the Leadership Development Certificate Program. She also serves as an expert panelist for the Forbes Finance Council, sharing her expertise on financial strategy and leadership. Geanette is deeply committed to mentorship and team development, empowering individuals and organizations to achieve sustained success. 

Nereyda Perez

Vice President of Business Development

Nereyda Perez is a strategic and results-driven leader with over two decades of experience in business development, client relations, and operational leadership. As Vice President of Business Development at Helios HVACR Services, she spearheads growth initiatives, forges high-value partnerships, and leads cross-functional teams to drive sustained revenue growth and brand visibility. 


Known for her ability to align business objectives with client success, Nereyda combines data-driven insights with a people-first approach to foster long-term relationships and high-performance cultures. She holds a BA in Business Management from Prairie View A&M University and is passionate about travel, crafting, and community engagement.

Jessica Martinez

Vice President of Client Management

A South Florida native, Jessica Martinez’s early experiences as a softball team captain and Little League coach shaped her belief in perseverance and teamwork. She began her career in Orlando, gaining hands-on experience in operations and administration at an electrical company while earning her associate’s degree from Valencia Community College. In 2016, Jessica graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Education, deepening her passion for people-focused leadership. What started as a short-term customer service role soon evolved into a pivotal career path, leading her to grow alongside her company through major organizational changes.


Today, Jessica leads a talented team at Helios, ensuring clients receive outstanding service and support. Outside of work, she enjoys life with her husband of over 23 years, their two lively Boxers, and time spent at the beach, traveling, and making memories with her large family. Jessica is driven by the belief that every day is an opportunity to serve stronger and lead with purpose.

Andy Trout

General Manager

Andy Trout brings three decades of leadership experience to Helios. As a Distinguished Military Graduate at Gonzaga University, Andy completed the U.S. Army’s Airborne and Ranger schools to start his military career, going on to serve at posts in Italy and Germany, concluding with his promotion to Captain and serving as a Leadership Instructor for cadets at the University of Arkansas. 


After obtaining his MBA there, Andy was honorably discharged and worked for JB Hunt Transportation in various leadership roles, followed by nearly 2 decades at W.W. Grainger with roles in Transportation, Purchasing, Supplier Performance, and Customer Service. Andy started at Helios in 2024 as the General Manager for the Midwest Region, and in 2025 was given the additional opportunity to lead the Northeast Region. 

Brandon Stateler

Brandon Stateler is a dynamic and results-driven business leader with over 15 years of progressive experience in operations, service management, and organizational restructuring across the HVACR and technical services industries. With a proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and building high-performing teams, Brandon has consistently delivered results across regional and national platforms. 


His leadership has been instrumental in multiple large-scale reorganizations, P&L optimization, and multi-state operations, overseeing revenues exceeding $75M and EBITDA targets above $8M. Brandon holds an MBA with a focus in Finance and Organizational Leadership and is known for his strategic mindset, financial acumen, and commitment to fostering strong company cultures. 

Joe Gibson

General Manager

Joe Gibson is an accomplished operations executive with over a decade of leadership across field service operations, logistics, and manufacturing. Joe holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a BS in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt. 


Prior to Helios, he held senior roles at Denali, Reddy Ice and Oldcastle APG, where he consistently demonstrated a strong ability to drive cost reduction, process efficiency, and team development across complex, distributed operations. Joe has driven multimillion-dollar cost savings initiatives, streamlined service delivery, and implemented cutting-edge technologies. As Regional General Manager for Helios Southwest region, he oversees 13 states across the Central and Western United States.
